Catella DICOM Importer allows you to quickly and easily add image files from other source to your patient files. Althogh most commonly used to import images from CD's, our system allows you to select any important sources that are addressable though your network. Once selected, DICOM importer automatically locates the DICOM files and prepares them for importation.

FEATURES:

Once the system has completed the scan, the images can be rouded up to ten different locations and can be transmitted to a DICOM receiver (i,e. Catella Gateway, Catella Workstation, or Catella Archive).

The system inclides both automatic and manual modes. The automatic mode uses our unique WalAway software that frees the operator from having to monitor the send cycle. Communication failure if any, will be reported on the user input screen so that the appropriate operator action can be taken. In the automatic mode, all images located and identified on the operator unput screen will be imported without modification.
In the manual mode, images can be reviewed, and both the patient name and ID number can be modified. This can be particularly important in ensuring that these documents use you institution's naming standards.

Images sent to an archive or workstation will be merged with files with the same patient name and ID. This allows information to be added to patient's files even after the initial interpretaion is complete.
